Speech & Language Screening

“How Do I Know If My Child Needs Speech Therapy?”

Parents will often feel a lot of uncertainty and fear wondering if their child is falling behind in their speech and language development. We hope to provide parents relief in knowing that many children recover from their articulation and communication issues without any long-lasting effects when working with a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).

We are here to help you understand your child’s needs and to provide professional referrals who can help your child’s individual needs. The first step is a Speech & Language Screening.

Start with a Speech & Language Screening

A Speech & Language Screening can help you support your child by:

  • Identifying your child’s speech & language areas of need.

  • Identifying articulation concerns typical at age development.

  • Answering questions about your child’s development.

  • Determining if your child needs therapy or a formal evaluation.

  • Knowing what to expect during a formal evaluation.

  • Getting a second opinion from a certified SLP.

  • Explaining the spectrum of speech therapy.

Our Speech & Language services are for children with a variety of special learning needs:

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dyslexia, Reading & math difficulties, Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), Other Health Impairment (OHI), Speech and language articulation, Expressive and receptive communication, Anxiety, ADHD, Motor planning, Sensory issues, Executive functioning concerns, Tourette Syndrome, Down Syndrome, and others.

“Our children are now catching up leaps and bounds. We would not be here today without help getting this in place.”

— Andrea M.
